As one of the world’s leading merchandisers and traders in agricultural commodities, Louis Dreyfus had a vision for its new space. Big believers in choice they wanted a space that could function as a lot of things to a lot of different people.
Creating an open-concept, high density space that offers privacy, quality of sound and the ability to scale is no easy task. But it was one Shearer gladly undertook. Non-built components such as furniture, drapery and ceiling elements were used to create modular and softly delineated spaces. The result was a variety of extremely well-functioning shared-public, shared-private, or quiet-private spaces.
“The office space succeeds because it is many things to many people. We’re a culture that believes it’s the responsibility of each individual to ensure their own effectiveness. Shearer understood that and created a space reflective of our needs.”
